Our client is a Dublin-based electrical engineering and manufacturing company that designs and builds low-voltage electrical switchgear, distribution boards, metering panels, and control panels for commercial and industrial projects.
They are looking for a proficient and driven Electrical Switchgear Designer to join their engineering team. This is an onsite role in Dublin. You will lead the development of innovative electrical switchgear solutions tailored to specific client needs while ensuring total alignment with industry safety standards and technical regulations.
Responsibilities:

Design switchgear systems across the full voltage spectrum (Low, Medium, and High Voltage).

Produce comprehensive design schematics, detailed assembly layouts, and engineering specifications.

Partner with clients, project leads, and fellow engineers to translate conceptual requirements into functional design solutions.

Expertly utilize CAD platforms (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks) to develop and refine electrical drawings.

Generate technical manuals and installation guides, oversee design testing/validation, and provide on-site technical guidance to field teams and manufacturing staff
Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.

Experience in the design and development of electrical switchgear.

Understanding of electrical distribution, protection systems, and electrical design.

Proficiency in CAD software and modern electrical modelling tools.

Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the communication skills necessary to thrive in a collaborative environment.
