We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a food manufacturing company based in Co. Longford. This person will be responsible for day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. The role involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and process improvements to ensure the smooth operation of production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Line Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute and track PM schedules (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Downtime Analysis: Identify recurring issues and implement solutions to reduce mechanical downtime.
Work Order Management: Process and review outstanding and completed work orders.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and champion best practices.
Engineering Projects: Contribute to process and equipment improvements.
Requirements:
Electrical trade qualification required (Third-level Engineering qualification is an advantage).
Experience in electrical services, control systems, and computer networks.
Background in Food or Pharma industries preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, fabricating, and machining.
Experience with PLC systems (Siemens S7 preferred).
