A permanent position has arisen with with a leading medical device multi-national in Galway who are looking to hire an EHS Specialist for their expanding team. This is an exciting and progressive role which will give excellent site wide exposure and development opportunities to the successful candidate.
A day in the life:
- Leading, implementing and improving the ISO 45001:2018 management system.
- EHS compliance training planning, developing. delivering and documenting.
- Participates in and prepares for EHS inspections by external agencies and all system audits.
- Supports and contributes to the site’s life safety programmes to include emergency response.
- Chemical management systems in terms of ATEX, SEVESO and REACH compliance.
- Risk Assessment - development of the site’s safety management system include hazard identification, hazard risk assessment, and hazard control programmes and participates in the implementation.
- Accident and Incident management.
- Supports and contributes to the site’s life safety programmes to include emergency response.
- ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001 and IPC Licence experience an advantage.
What you need to have:
- Experience working with chemicals.
- Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' working in a similar position.
