We are currently working with one of the leading Pharma organisations in Cork who are looking for an EHS Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. As the EHS Operations Manager, you will be reporting to the site director. You will actively promote a robust EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) culture across all functional domains. Collaborating with other leaders, you will work collectively to achieve excellence in safety and environmental performance.

Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
Lead and develop the site EHS team building a high performing team culture.
Manage the site’s environmental and safety management systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) and drive continuous improvement
Drive EHS performance and safety culture using approved KPIs.
Understanding of local and global EHS regulations and practices.
Successfully drafting and delivering EHS strategic objectives and ensuring that goals are met and managed within the EHS Department.
Monitor regulatory requirements/trends, conduct impact analyses, and implement programs to ensure compliance with both regulatory and internal standards.
Ensure benchmarking process is in place to keep up to date with current trends, best practice in all aspects of EHS.
Ensure that all EHS related projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure EHS design reviews are completed for new processes and equipment and identified risks are mitigated.
What the ideal EHS Operations Manager looks like:
Minimum of 8 years’ combined experience managing environmental and safety programs to assure compliance with government regulations and company policies
Bachelor’s Degree (EHS related, Engineering, Technical Field). EHS related experience in a highly regulated sector.
Work experience in implementing EHS regulations and EHS Management systems (ISO certification), conducting incident investigations, EHS metrics, interacting with regulatory agencies and external organizations and managing cross functional teams.
Position requires knowledge on local and EPA regulations.
Well-developed skills in leadership, communication, program development and project management.
