My client is a manufacturing organisation based in Athlone. They are seeking to hire an EHS Manager for a maternity contract. 

Key Responsibilities – 

  • Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation 
  • Preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policy
  • Carrying out risks assessments and considering how risks could be reduced 
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented 
  • Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements 
  • Keeping records of incidents and producing stats to managers 
  • Ensuring the safe installation of equipment 
  • Managing and liaising with the County Council on the Air Emissions Licence 
  • Provide training – induction, refresher and manual handling training as required 
  • Working knowledge of ISO: 14001/ ISO: 45001 

Essential Criteria – 

  • Third level degree in H&S Management or similar 
  • 2/3 years in a Manufacturing environment

This is a Monday – Friday position, 8am-5pm based on-site in Athlone, offering a competitive salary (45k-50k DOE) and 24 days AL.
