As the EHS Manager, you will lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, providing support, guidance, and coaching. You will play a crucial role in building strong relationships across our business and influencing positive change at all levels. Hybrid model available after training.

Key Responsibilities (Full job description on request)

  • Oversee EHS Activities: Manage all EHS-related activities within the company, including off-site installation projects.

  • Policy Implementation: Advise on and assist in the implementation of company health and safety policies.

  • Promote Safety Culture: Lead initiatives to enhance our culture of safety, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement.

  • Team Development: Manage and develop the EHS team, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and lead the development of EHS systems.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the continual improvement of EHS performance and internal processes.

  • Annual Planning: Construct and implement annual EHS improvement plans in collaboration with departmental management teams.

  • Internal Auditing: Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure ongoing system improvements.

  • Safety Committees: Organize and lead safety committee meetings, liaising with department safety representatives.

  • Legislation Updates: Keep management informed about new legislation and best practices.

  • Incident Management: Oversee the investigation and reporting of all incidents and accidents.

  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update EHS documentation within the Integrated Management System.

  • Insurance Liaison: Manage interactions with insurance providers and address any related actions.

  • Training and Coaching: Deliver training on key EHS topics to enhance team capabilities.

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to improve EHS performance.

  • Waste Management: Oversee hazardous waste management and ensure compliance with IPPC licensing requirements.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A third-level qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Chartered membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.

  • At least 6+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment.

  • Thorough knowledge of Irish and European EHS legislation.

  • Experience in developing and implementing behavioral and safety programs.
