Our client, an Irish Medical Device start up that is scaling up their operations by introducing a second production line and moving new products into Clinical Trials are looking to add a Design Assurance Technician to their Quality department. The Design Assurance Technician will initially join on a 12 month contract.
This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate who has had experience working on a production line or testing product, this Design Assurance Technician position will give you wants more exposure and more responsibility working within the R&D team to manage and lead testing of current and next generation implants in the R&D lab.
A day in the life:
- Participate in training activities and become proficient in the required design verification (DV) test activities in a timely manner.
- Train other test techs on DV test methods
- Organisation of test samples, ensuring correct samples are tested and in the correct sequencing
- Managing day to day test activities.
- Mechanical testing of samples
- Recording of test data in line with GDP requirements.
- Generate quality and technical documentation to support test activities and quality system requirements
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring precision and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and provide direction to others.
- Must be able to work autonomously and take ownership of activities
- Effective at information gathering
- Proficient in use of desktop software e.g. excel, word
Qualifications
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent minimum.
- Additional academic qualification in QA, Science or Engineering an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical device environment.
- Demonstrated experience of GDP & GMP standards.
- Experience of product testing of medical devices is advantageous.
