Our client are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of electrical, civil and infrastructure projects in Co. Mayo.
The role will have responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships, health & safety and team leadership, working closely with Project Managers and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple electrical, civils, infrastructure, utilities, public lighting and renewable energy projects.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
Oversee project programmes, resources, costs, valuations, variations, claims and forecasting.
Identify and manage contractual, commercial and operational risks.
Lead and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and operational teams.
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, utilities, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement, Lean and operational excellence initiatives.
Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, environmental and health & safety requirements.
Lead project reviews and support the resolution of escalated operational and commercial issues.
Requirements
Degree, Higher Diploma or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
7–10+ years’ experience managing construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.
Strong background in electrical contracting and civil engineering.
Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams.
Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in utilities, public lighting, renewable energy or infrastructure would be advantageous.
Knowledge of public sector contracts/frameworks desirable.
