Our client, a safety manufacturing client in Galway are looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their team as they expand. This position serves as the Continuous Improvement (CI) change agent to ensure CI Cultural strategies are developed. Additionally, this position is responsible for incorporating MSA-OS & Lean principles/practices in the plant process; implementing and facilitating improvement actions.
This is a permanent role which offers a 4 day working week.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the delivery of the annual site cost improvement plan
Serve as change agent within the plant to develop and rollout Continuous Improvement strategy
Leads the planning and execution of Continuous Improvement events (JDI/KZ/Projects), including facilitation of meetings
Provides training to plant associates specific to Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology
Supports team to ensure improvements are implemented and sustained
Developing tactical strategies to achieve CI goals within the plant
Coach site leadership in CI thinking
Identifies long and short-term objectives to support the Plant goals
Proactively works with Management team to identify, address and eliminate obstacles Leads the change of systems/processes as required
Identifies training needs
Schedules Kaizen events / Projects with the plant team
Requirements
8 to 10 years of experience in Operational Excellence with lean / six sigma manufacturing implementation experience
Experience leading and facilitating workshops/improvement activities in a manufacturing environment and delivering savings
Project Management experience at a senior level
Experience accumulated in recognized world class lean environments (companies with solid Operational Excellence reputation)
Knowledge and practical implementation of all lean tools and techniques: Heijunka, JIT, Kanban, SMED, TPM, Kamishibai, Jidoka
