A global packaging company is keen to hire a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team in Sligo. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving efficiency enhancements and cost reductions through the implementation of continuous improvement programs. You will orchestrate improvement initiatives across various functions, all with the goal of delivering substantial and sustainable competitive advantages across the value chain.
Lead and execute the site's CI program, aiming for 'World Class' status in the organization.
Identify improvement opportunities and establish ambitious improvement targets.
Maintain open communication with the central operations team regarding site performance.
Manage the site's CI project pipeline workshops, ensuring a steady flow of cost-out projects.
Supervise and facilitate CI projects using methodologies like DMAIC, 8D, Kaizen.
Enhance operational data collection/analysis to support data-driven cost reduction projects.
Collaborate proactively with CI teams across the EMEA business to leverage best practices.
Mentor and support colleagues in their skill development.
Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 2+ years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on learning from stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to gather and present complex data.
Solid analytical skills, including experience with statistical analysis (minitab is a plus).
