About the Role
Our client, a leading organisation in the Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Systems across Ireland and Europe, is seeking to hire an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to contribute to the companies growth. You will be office based (Drogheda) and will be heavily involved in driving the growth of the company and increasing the team size.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor performance testing and system validation processes
- Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports
- Lead commissioning teams and provide technical guidance helping to grow the size of the team in place currently.
- Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in commissioning management (typically 2+ years)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or process systems
- Strong leadership experience and being able to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations
