Our client, a well-established Insurance Brokerage is recruiting for a Commercial Account Handler to join their growing team. This is a permanent contract based in Sligo town.
This role will involve, assisting the team in managing a portfolio of SME risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a professional rapport with customers when arranging, altering or renewing their insurances.
Responsibilities
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for the following:
- Issuing renewal documentation to clients and following up to ensure retention of the account
- Managing a portfolio of existing SME client
- Renew all types of Commercial Policies including Combined, Retail, Liability
- Cross-selling to connected personal lines policies as well as some new business development
- Issuing of new business quotations
- Servicing of accounts including mid-term alterations, handling of claims etc
- Dealing with client queries and providing excellent levels of service to our clients
- Adhering to all compliance requirements
Requirements
- 2/3 years experience working in a Commercial Lines role within an insurance brokerage
- Working towards CIP, APA Commercial or grandfathered qualification
- Strong insight into business’s ways of working and their needs
- To have the ability and experience to identify business opportunities
- RELAY broker system experience
- Good working knowledge of insurers' online platforms
