We have an exciting Full-Stack Cloud Software Engineer role within a fast paced and high-impact R&D Department with our client, a leading indigenous electronics company based in Shannon.. This is a full-time, permanent position and is based fully on-site in Shannon.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing & Maintaining Cloud Products/Services: Contribute to the development and maintenance of Cloud-deployed products/services, ideally on AWS.
Design & Development: Participate in designing and developing new features and online products, ensuring robust architecture and functionality.
Cloud DB & Portal Management: Oversee the architecture, design, implementation, and operational management of the Cloud database and portal, leveraging AWS and SQL Server.
API Development: Design and implement APIs for customers and external partners, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Optimization & Scaling: Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and scaling of Cloud services to meet growing demands.
Mobile App Development: Coordinate the development of iOS and Android apps, including management of external development partners.
Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards such as GDPR and ISO 27001, implementing necessary measures for data protection.
Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and customer-facing teams to generate product and feature ideas, driving continuous innovation.
Candidate Requirements:
BSc in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience developing public cloud-deployed applications, including operations support and new product/service development.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in C#/ASP.NET or similar object-oriented languages such as Java or Python.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and designing REST APIs.
Deep understanding of MVC/Entity Framework and web technologies.
Familiarity with container technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
Knowledge:
Understanding of Internet security and privacy requirements.
Awareness of current technology trends and developments in the software industry.
Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and self-motivation.
Advantageous Skills:
Experience with other Cloud platforms (Azure, Google, IBM).
Familiarity with Angular/Node, HTTP/Typescript, and mobile app development (iOS and/or Android).
Exposure to cross-platform mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) and GSM-based IoT technology.
Knowledge of web frameworks/libraries such as JQuery and Bootstrap.
