Clinical Support Specialist - Orthopedics

Permanent | Munster-Based (Cork, Waterford, Limerick & Tralee)

We are seeking a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Clinical Support Specialist - Orthopedics to join an established and highly experienced orthopedic team. This is a clinical and educational role, ideal for someone passionate about supporting surgical teams and improving patient outcomes in a fast-paced theatre environment.

The Role

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting orthopaedical surgeons and theatre teams, becoming an integral part of the wider sales and clinical support function. You will provide hands-on clinical expertise, product knowledge and education across key hospital accounts within the Munster region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-theatre clinical support to consultants and nursing staff during orthopedic procedures, including hip and knee (primary and revision) cases
  • Deliver accurate and compliant information on orthopedic implant systems and their indications for use
  • Support theatre teams to ensure procedures run smoothly and efficiently
  • Deliver clinical education and training to surgeons, nurses and hospital staff (Theatre & HSSD)
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key hospital accounts and clinical stakeholders
  • Monitor clinical satisfaction and identify opportunities to support evolving customer needs
  • Promote and develop the orthopedic and power tools portfolio with relevant customers
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to ensure credibility and excellence in customer interactions
  • Attend exhibitions, meetings and conferences as required
  • Monitor market activity and feedback insights on trends and competitor activity

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience working within orthopedics
  • Previous theatre experience essential
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Knowledge of the local healthcare sector
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Flexibility to travel regularly across Munster and occasionally beyond
