Job Opportunity: Civil Engineer - Projects

Our Client is a global leader in the construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure. Join their dynamic team as a Project Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the planning, supervision, and delivery of essential maintenance on 343 structures within the National Road and Motorway Network in Leinster. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site activities, ensuring proper setup and ongoing supervision of maintenance works.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of work gangs and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Quantify and implement project proposals for internal and client reviews.
  • Compile budget costing for the commercial team, ensuring financial control and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with local authorities, TII representatives, emergency services, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Produce, document, and maintain necessary records including RFIs, TQs, CVIs, and variation orders.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental aspects of work comply with the highest standards and legislative requirements.
  • Implement traffic management in compliance with national standards and company policies.
  • Monitor, control, and report on subcontractor performance and quality of work.
  • Maintain daily production records, compile information for safety files, and deliver required reports per the contract.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in civil engineering works or road maintenance, with familiarity with TII standards.
  • Experience in managing project costs, planning, and resource management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and processes.
  •  Strong competency in IT.
  • Full driving license.
