C# Software Engineer

We have an exciting new opportunity for a C# Engineer to join a global electronics & medical equipment manufacturing site in the Midlands. You will be starting at an exciting time in the company with an opportunity to work as part of an existing software development team. You will participate in the development of the Software engineering function through the introduction of new-world Class techniques that continually deliver improvements and a right-first-time culture.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions to provide insights into, and alerts from the production process and testing data, which will enable production and planning departments to leverage this knowledge to continuously optimise.
  • Develop new and refine and manage the life cycle of existing test solutions and processes.
  • Provide software and problem-solving support to the production unit’s technical team, areas to include all in-house built solutions.
  • Represent SE-CEI on all Test Software issues which fall within your domain.
  • Prepare and maintain various technical reports for both internal and external use.
  • Identify user requirements of software solutions and transfer these requirements into technical specifications.
  • Design/develop software modules on various projects based on engineering specifications and visualise through CAD tools (i.e., mind mapping, flow charts, etc..).
  • Source or manufacture software and infrastructure as required.
  • Participate in the validation of new test equipment / new processes
  • Ensure that all equipment cycle times are maintained and meet OEE requirements.
  • Develop and maintain all associated documentation & procedures.

 Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent within Computer Science field
  • 2-3 years experience in Microsoft visual studio; software development environment; primarily C#  from concept design through to the realization of the final released application and its integration into the end product.
  • Knowledge and experience in acoustic signal processing in time-critical applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in data mining using pattern recognition systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in Linux {C++, QT IDE} is advantageous
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and motivated approach to duties.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer awareness
