Our client is looking for an On-Site Buyer/Planner, to join their Limerick team. They would be responsible for order management from initiation to completion. The primary focus is on ensuring timely delivery of orders, maintaining controlled inventories, and achieving maximum growth and service level targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with on-site customer colleagues and suppliers.
  • Manage order processes from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of any issues.
  • Monitor deliveries and past-due shipments, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Analyse and manage Branch and product performance statistics, making informed decisions for inventory optimisation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to achieve defined purchasing objectives and maximize commercial gains.
  • Negotiate and organise on-site stock cleanses, focus on problem stock, and meet targets for Aged Stock reduction.
  • Monitor franchise activity, coordinate promotional activities, and analyze supplier performance and market intelligence.


  • A third-level qualification in a Purchasing related subject is essential.
  • Several years of experience in a purchasing role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety issues.
