Business Development Lead - Ireland

We are working with a global leader within Lean Consultancy and Training Services. Our client is an Irish, international company with locations across Ireland, Canada and Australia. We are looking to recruit a Business Development Lead to cover the Irish side of the business. The candidate can be based from anywhere in the country as travel to the head office (Cork) will rarely be necessary. This role would suit someone with over 5 years of experience in sales/BD in a manufacturing background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a third-party lead generation agency to run a series of email/social media campaigns
  • Work with our marketing manager to increase inbound leads
  • Record, update and maintain leads on our CRM system (Pipedrive) and sales forecasts which are currently recorded on Excel
  • Contact/meet companies to identify requirements
  • Assign appropriate consultants to the potential project and together meet clients, especially those that are strategic to the business
  • Develop and submit proposals in association with the consultants
  • Arrange contracts with associate consultants and purchase orders from client
  • Review project progress monthly
  • Report monthly on sales progress

Key Candidate Requirements

  • Circa 6+ years sales and business development experience in a similar role with a manufacturing background.
  • Any knowledge of Lean would be a huge advantage.
  • Third-level degree qualification
  • Must have a full, clean driver's license and own transportation (traveling costs will be expensed)
  • Outbound lead generation and management experience – developing an approach and executing
  • Proven track record in successful lead qualification and conversion to sales
  • Demonstrated experience in effective business development and account management
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • MS Office proficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop successful sales presentations and business proposals
  • Self-motivated to produce results within tight timeframes
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
