Business Development Executive - Permanent - Sligo - Onsite with some flexibility and travel
Our client is a medical device engineering company offering a range of development and manufacturing services from initial design assessment, through to the provision of sterile finished product for the European and US medical device market.
Responsibilities:
- Winning new business for our manufacturing plants in Ireland and North America.
- Researching and identifying target customers.
- Prospecting, lead generation and creating nurture campaigns.
- Qualifying inbound enquiries, and if suitable, developing into a sales opportunity.
- Running end to end sales processes from initial contact to close of deal.
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders, especially the production and engineering departments, for appropriate deliverability, capacity and costings.
- Attending F2F meetings and building good relationships with prospects.
- Maintaining good data hygiene via our Sales CRM, Hubspot.
- Keeping up to date with new company products and industry trends.
- Preparing quotations for customers and tailored follow ups.
- Review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s).
- Delivering presentations and providing facility tours to prospective customers.
- Meeting sales targets and achieving KPIs.
- Travel to either the U.S or Europe for approximately 2 days once a month.
- Other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar discipline preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience ideally with a manufacturing/production type company.
- This is a hunting role for new business, not an account management position, so must have a background in outbound sales hunting.
- Driven, determined, enthusiastic and eager to succeed.
- Demonstrate great active listening skills and confidence.
- Excellent communication skills with superb networking abilities, research skills and a good eye for new opportunities.
- Strong customer service, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational, research and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- MS Office Experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) essential.
- High level of teamwork and engagement, while at the same time being able to work on their own initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong numerical and problem-solving ability.
- Good cultural fit (humble, easy to work with) and a team player.
- Ability to travel internationally.
