We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our clients team based in Dublin, Cork or Galway. In this role, you will lead the bid process from opportunity identification through to proposal submission. You will ensure that high-quality proposals meeting client requirements are delivered on time. By managing bid resources effectively and maintaining compliance with all RFP requirements and guidelines, you will play a pivotal role in helping us win new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with practice area and sector teams to develop responses to client proposals and pitches that support our business development goals.
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.
- Partner closely with lawyers, the marketing team, and other firm-wide personnel to manage the bid process and prepare compelling statements of qualifications and responses to RFPs.
- Acquire, develop, and draft original content while consolidating input from various stakeholders to create clear, accurate, and effective responses.
- Create and maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, continuously refining bid processes, tools, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the completion of other written materials such as client presentations, legal directory submissions, and vendor questionnaires.
- Handle other duties as assigned to support the broader business development team.
About You
- You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, and development.
- You are skilled in project management and thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with colleagues across different practice units and levels.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, or in a similar role.
- Experience in professional services or financial services is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong business acumen and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
