Excellent opportunity for an Automation and Infrastructure Engineer to join a Biologics Leader setting up a new facility in Ireland. The Automation and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the AIS Systems Infrastructure. They will also provide IT Systems support with Infrastructure associated with Process Automation and Lab Systems. The ideal candidate will come from a pharma / biotech background and have experience with HyperV and VM Ware.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Support and lead critical to-manufacturing and laboratory systems
- Ensure reducing and eliminating unplanned downtime
- SME of new or upgraded technologies within the manufacturing and laboratory environments
- Work closely with corporate AIS and IT infrastructure teams
- Maintenance of all manufacturing and laboratory system assets
- Maintain relationships with critical suppliers, managing escalations and troubleshooting
- Work closely with corporate security to manage cybersecurity for manufacturing and laboratory systems
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMWare and hyper – V) in an operational environment
- Understanding of Microsoft Licensing and Vendor package licensing
- Understanding of key LAN principles in a manufacturing environment
- Strong network architecture or engineering proficiencies including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Network IDS/IPS, Active Directory, Domain Integration and Firewalls
- Understanding of documentation, such as Hardware Design, Network Design, FAT and SAT documentation
