Associate Principal Scientist – Analytical R&D | Meath
The Associate Principal Scientist will provide technical leadership within the analytical teams.
Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Leadership for development, validation, implementation, troubleshooting and transfer of analytical methods (among different Company sites, and between the Company and CROs), being responsible of writing technical protocols and reports.
- Partner across analytical and process teams to assess clinical and commercial drug substance, including investigation support.
- Review analytical testing of drug substance release, stability and characterization for biologics under GMP/GDP
- Analyzing and optimizing of current lab/business processes in the laboratories. Lead implementation of new technologies and methodologies.
- Review and approval of analytical methods, SOPs and other documentation.
- Coaching and mentoring of analytical senior scientists and analytical scientists.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
- Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience or M.S. with a minimum of 7 years of experience or Bachelor with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Ability to design, direct and/or execute the development and qualification of release, characterization, and stability assays for testing of clinical trial material and in support of product and process development.
- Broad experience with Ultrahigh Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UPLC)/High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Capillary Electrophoresis, or other large molecule characterization technique.
- Broad experience with protein biochemistry and/or biochemical analytical techniques of proteins or with any biophysical methods.
- Experience in Analytical Methodologies and sound scientific understanding of Critical Quality.
