Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to all operations sites utilising root cause tools to identify areas for improvements in preventative maintenance.
  • Integration and coordination of mechanical and electrical resources available to the operate and service/repair business
  • Management/coordination of maintenance team (electricians and fitters) daily.
  • Organisation and supervision of site-based repair and maintenance works, including managing subcontractor, ensuring equipment is on site and completing risk assessments and method statements
  • Assessment and maintenance of training and development needs of the available pool of services and maintenance resources
  • Coordination of all mechanical/electrical/ICA reactive and planned maintenance requirements for the operate business
  • Providing the direct link and point of contact for the site-based operators and supervisors with respect to their mechanical/electrical/ICA support requirements
  • Identification, planning and implementation of continuous improvement programmes with respect to the utilisation of resources including reduction in travel time, procurement coordination and savings for spares and replacement equipment
  • Coordination of capital replacements fund drawdown requirements-working in tandem with the asset management team
  • Providing the necessary link for the asset management team with the repair business
  • Providing mentoring and lead support in various continuous improvement projects with the Operations teams
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as required from time to time by management
  • Facilitating meetings/communication with key customers and various industrial customers as required as part of your role
  • Coordinate training for the team as required
  • Coordinate out of enquiries in tandems with existing service/repair arrangements


Role Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PC skills to include MS office, CAD and Project software
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
  • Experience in management and coordination of electricians/fitters
  • Ability to work independently and proactively as well as strong collaborative skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the asset management business
  • Desire to contribute ideas, be creative and to improve the efficiency of the business
  • Creative and flexible approach to problem solving
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
  • Develop specific goals and plans to priorities, organise and accomplish stated deadlines
  • Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to compile data effectively
  • Qualification in an engineering discipline required
