There is an exciting new opportunity to join our client who is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of healthcare products as a Application Support Engineer. The role is based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and would be suited to a candidate who has IT experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

About the role

The Application Support Engineer is a dynamic IT professional and a key player in the Application Support team. The role holder will work closely with the Ireland and Global IT teams, supporting the management, monitoring and troubleshooting of existing and new IT applications. Communication skills, flexibility and a desire to learn are essential. The ability to work on multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining attention to detail is essential.

Key Responsibilities (full job spec available at request)

  • User Administration for existing and upcoming IT and GMP systems.

  • Account administration for non GMP systems.

  • Provide second and third line system support to local and global administrators and/or users where required.

  • Support the Ticket Management System (systems change control) and the company intranet site.

  • Co-ordinate workshops and attend training for implementation of new IT systems and the continuous development of existing systems.


  • Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent qualification.

  • 1+ Years’ experience in a related IT role is essential

  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast paced regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new systems/products.

  • xcellent analytical and problem solving skills.
