Accounts Technician

Our client is a well-established Chartered Accountants practice based on the North side of Cork City. They are currently looking for an Accounts Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis as they continue to grow. Previous experience in a practice environment is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing various client bookkeeping requirements – entering purchase invoices, entering supplier payments, entering customer invoices & receipts.
  • Preparation of monthly supplier reconciliations.
  • Bank and control account reconciliations.
  • Nominal ledger analysis.
  • Preparation of small enterprise financial statements.
  • Processing of VAT & RTD returns and ensuring compliance to deadlines.
  • Preparation and submission of VIES & Intra-stat returns.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Building strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Requirements:

  • Accounting Technicians Ireland degree.
  • Previous experience in a practice environment is essential (minimum 1 year).
  • Experienced with ROS, Relate, and cloud-based software such as Surf Accounting/SAGE/Xero.
  • Attention to detail & excellent organisational skills.
  • Results-driven and forward-thinking with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
