Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant

Our client, a global leader in IT asset disposition (ITAD), secure data destruction, reuse, and technology manufacturing services worldwide is looking for a Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent contract.


Key tasks/responsibilities:

  • Ownership and responsibility for the inputs, processing and outputs in relation to company payroll on a weekly and monthly basis (approx. 140 weekly employees plus 40 monthly)
  • Reconciliation to timesheets/clock in’s and working with Operations supervisors on hours approval etc
  • Entering of hours to the payroll system on a weekly basis and bank file upload
  • Calculating and entering all payroll amendments e.g. starters, leavers, P2C’s, deductions, allowances, DSP information, holidays etc. Assisting with audit queries
  •  Assisting with audit queries
  • Carry out reconciliations for corporate cards, supplier statements and petty cash
  • Payroll reporting to the finance team
  • Responsibility for a portion of the Creditor Ledger present, including booking invoices and payments to the accounting system.
  • Responsible for payment allocations and creditor reconciliations.
  • Support and assist the Finance & HR team as required.

 Key Requirments

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Payroll and some accounts payable experience
  •  Accounting Technician/IPASS qualification is desirable for this role, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Payroll/Accounting Systems is essential. Any experience with Thesaurus, & Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
  • Excellent PC skills including experience with Microsoft excel are essential.
  • Person must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and Data protection are key elements of this role.
