Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant required for a well-establisted company on the outskirts of Galway City.

Responsible for the day to day function of the Accounts Dept. Weekly Account, Posting invoices, making payments, reconciliations, bank & creditor recs etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the accounts team and perform duties across a number of accounting functions
  • Preparing Weekly Management Accounts for managers within the business
  • Keeping up to date with accounts email and incoming queries
  • Entry of invoices
  • Perform weekly/ monthly reconciliations
  • Create and process Weekly/ monthly creditor payments.
  • Accounting entries onto accounts systems ( Sage )
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Payroll
  • Month end routine processes
  • Ad hoc projects.

Experience required:

  • Minimum - Completion of Accounts Technician Course
  •  Experience using Sage 50
  • Adept in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to be flexible in the role
  • Attention to detail is important
