Accounts Assistant

Our client, a Mallow based franchisee are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This varied role is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in a reputable and growing organisation. They are also open to speaking with those who are IATI (Accounts Technician) qualified or part-qualified. Strong package on offer. Fully onsite role (parking provided).


The Role

  • Sending Profit & Loss pack to the stores on a weekly basis including the Nominal Ledger information and answering any query the store may have on same
  • Ensure the accurate, consistent, and timely input of Payments, Receipts, Invoices & Journals into the accounting system.
  • Analyse financial expenditure/sales trends
  • Weekly cashflow preparation.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the Payroll Hours on Biweekly Payroll
  • Month-end and year-end accounts
  • Year-end close processes.
  • Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Assisting in the supervision of two members of Staff (Data Entry Clerk and Office Administration person)
  • Weekly and Monthly reports control and follow up
  • General office duties
  • Project work

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be IATI qualified or part-qualified and will have:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Sage accounts and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge.
  • Commercial awareness and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally.
