About the Company
Join a dynamic and growing company based in Carrick on Shannon. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join their Finance Department on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Finance and Financial Accountant, contributing to enhanced management reporting and the further development of a recently installed ERP system.
Responsibilities
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Finance team and other departments to develop and maintain enhanced management reporting.
- Assisting in the review and development of internal control procedures to facilitate timely processing of reports.
- Preparing monthly management accounts with detailed analysis of results and commentary.
- Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Reviewing financial reports and data to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Contributing to the further embedding and development of processes in the ERP system.
- Handling other ad-hoc duties as required to meet departmental and business needs.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent).
- Relevant post-qualification experience gained in an SME manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel/Power Query. Experience with Sage 50, professional, and ERP systems.
- Proficient in producing monthly management accounts.
- Strong knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards.
