The Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) recently hosted its 15th annual conference in Croke Park Dublin. IPASS is Ireland’s premier provider of Payroll and VAT training and certification. Elaine Doohan and Louise Feerick from Collins McNicholas Payroll Division, both IPASS members, were delighted to attend this informative event.
This was a great opportunity to meet other delegates and listen to emerging trends and issues within the payroll sector as delivered by a number of the guest speakers. The speakers included Brian Hayes T.D. Minister of State for Public Service Reform and the OPW, Brian Merriman Employment Equality Authority, representatives from The Revenue Commissioners, representatives from The Department of Social Protection and The Central Statistics Office (CSO).
A wide range of areas were covered such as Advanced PRSI issues, How to deal with employee absences due to sick leave, International Payroll – cross border workers, pensions, and IT in a payroll environment.
