About the Recruitment Campaign

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is delighted to partner with the Road Safety Authority (RSA), to support their recruitment needs.

The aim of the Road Safety Authority (RSA) is to save lives and prevent injuries by reducing the number and severity of collisions on our roads.

The RSA is seeking to recruit Driver Testers.

Driver Testers in the Road Safety Authority undertake the important task of testing learner drivers, to ensure they meet the necessary driving standard to drive safely on our roads.

The online application system will be open with effect from 12pm on Tuesday 22 December 2020 until the closing date on Friday 08 January 2021 at 12pm. Please note applications will only be accepted using the online application process during the times and dates specified. The closing date for submission of applications is 12pm on Friday 08 January 2021 or when the maximum capacity of 5000 applications has been reached.

Requirements for this job

Candidates on or before 22nd December 2020:

  1. Must hold a category B Car full licence, valid in the State, this includes licenses from EU member states, for at least the past 5 years (this includes UK/NI licences)
  2. Must hold a qualification equivalent to Level 5 on the Irish National Framework Qualifications (NFQ) or Level 4 on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
  3. Must have a satisfactory knowledge of the Rules of the Road, road procedures and the law relating to road traffic insofar as it concerns the driver of a mechanically propelled vehicle
  4. Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  5. The capacity to remain calm and courteous in dealing with driving test applicants, adopting a customer centric approach at all times
  6. Must have strong administrative competencies including good IT skills
  7. Must be legally eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland without restrictions

RECRUITMENT TO POSTS WITHIN THE ROAD SAFETY AUTHORITY IS ON THE BASIS OF SUITABILITY TO THE CRITERIA OF THE ROLE AND THE ABILITY TO CARRY OUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST.
