Ireland boasts a healthy work-life balance with both major cities as well as fascinating nature. Major cities such as Dublin, Cork, Limerick or Galway are contrasted by rugged coastlines and vast mountain ranges. Multinationals and start-ups in IT, engineering, software, pharma and others have based their operations in Ireland. GDP and unemployment levels have returned to pre-economic crisis levels meaning there is a constant demand for top talent in order to maintain production levels.
Ireland’s unemployment rate sits at 5.4% while wages are well above the European average across most industries. The cost of living varies throughout the country, however away from Dublin it is very reasonable. The creation of well-paid jobs across Ireland has hit new highs in 2018 and shows no signs of slowing down. In particular, IT, life sciences and engineering industries are thriving here, hence the need to attract more talent to the country.
