We've teamed up for an exciting partnership with the workplace empowerment charity WorkEqual.

This unique partnership will see our team members volunteer to mentor WorkEqual’s clients while they are searching for work or transitioning back into the workplace after some time away. WorkEqual provide free tailored 1:1 services and group programmes to help women and people with disabilities enter or re-enter the workplace to reach sustained economic independence.

One interesting element of the partnership will see our experts conducting mock interviews. First they will assist WorkEqual clients prepare for interview and also give them an opportunity to practice their skills in front of a real-life interview panel. The partnership has started, with a number of kick-off meetings taking place. We will conduct nationwide virtual workshops throughout May and June, and assist in-person sessions across the term in Dublin, Galway and Cork.

These gatherings will allow for WorkEqual clients to network together, and meet with employers, benefit from in-person discussions and expert guidance before clients take part in the mock interviews.

Su Duff, Chief Executive Officer for WorkEqual:

WorkEqual is thrilled to partner with Collins McNicholas. We see first-hand the fantastic work they do across the country and their team will be a huge help to our clients. When we first met, we knew right away they were going to be a great fit for us. We first started by servicing clients in the Dublin area and recently became able to help people around Ireland. Our corporate partners like Collins McNicholas enable us to do that by volunteering their time to support our clients.

This partnership comes at the perfect time as WorkEqual recently won two awards at the Newstalk Changemaker Awards - the Inclusive Workplace Award as well as the overall award of Newstalk Changemaker of the year - rewarding their work in helping over 150 organisations meet talent they might not otherwise have encountered in 2025. These awards are a testament to the WorkEqual team and volunteers – emphasising the importance of partnerships like this.

Michelle Murphy, Director of Collins McNicholas, said:

We are delighted to team up with WorkEqual, an important organisation helping people starting out or re-entering the workplace after some time away. This can be a challenging time for people and our team are excited to begin this programme, where we get the chance to work with new people and help them in any way we can by dedicating our time to work with them. We are excited to get going this month and we look forward to meeting with the WorkEqual clients.
