Collins McNicholas Named One of the Best Workplaces in Ireland for the Third Consecutive Year

Collins McNicholas Named One of the Best Workplaces in Ireland for the Third Consecutive Year  What a night at the Great Places to Work Event! We had one hell of a party. Over 800 attendees, over 100 companies, guest appearances from Mario Rosenstock (in the guise of Daniel O’ Donnell, Jose Mourinho, and Enda Kenny) and Jason Donovan! For those of you who were not fans of Neighbours in the mid-1980s – Jason was a really big deal back then. As always the brilliant Camembert Quartet entertained us for the night and kept the proceedings moving along, and John Ryan, CEO of GTPW, was excellent once again as the MC for the evening. We are absolutely delighted to be recognised as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row, and making it into the top ten Great Places to Work in Ireland for the second year in a row was really special and something we are really proud of. Well done to all the companies who achieved the status of Great Place to Work in 2017. It is a fantastic endorsement of the excellent employee engagement initiatives that are being worked on throughout the country in a variety of companies big and small, it clearly shows that employee engagement is alive and well. We heard about some brilliant employee engagement initiatives from companies such as Cisco, Abbvie, SAP, Alkermes, Regeneron and many more. But is not just multinationals, Irish SMEs are really awaking to the idea that indeed “culture does eat strategy for breakfast every day.” Finally, on behalf of everyone in Collins McNicholas I want to say a BIG BIG thank you to all those who contributed to the Culture team throughout the last year. Looking forward to seeing what the culture team come up with for 2017!! The opening of the new branch this month, which will be located at the National Technology Park in Castletroy, increases the company’s number of offices around the country to six. Strong economic growth in the Midwest is the reason cited for the opening of the office, which will see the creation of an initial team of seven employees. Niall Murray, Managing Director of Collins McNicholas said: “We feel that the existing network of companies, combined with the graduate output from the University of Limerick and Limerick IT, and an excellent infrastructure, places the Midwest in a good position to grow over the coming years and offers a strong alternative to the larger urban centres of Dublin and Cork.” “Limerick has strong ICT and Life Science industries and has, in recent years, attracted some blue chip companies including ACI Worldwide, Casa, Uber and Regeneron, complementing the traditional base of companies in the region such as Dell, Stryker and Analog, to name a few.” The first four employees of the company are originally from Limerick and all of them had been working out of the county before being appointed  – including the company’s new Regional Manager, David Fitzgibbon. Originally from Mungret and a UL graduate, David brings his significant experience in the recruitment sector to the Collins McNicholas management team. David Fitzgibbon said: “I am delighted...
