Software Development Engineer

As a key member of the IT and Global Engineering teams you will work closely with cross functional (Engineering, IT, Quality, Supply Chain) teams and vendors to design, build and automate shop floor applications. You will also collect and report on key metrics from our MES and scada systems. You will be supported by senior Software Developers in Ireland and the US

Key Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Java & python development knowledge or experience

  • Understanding of IT design methodologies, architecture and techniques related to shop floor equipment and interfacing systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain the most complex technical problems to a wide audience

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

  • Ability to travel globally for Training with a Senior Software Developer.


  • Support with the automation and support shop floor applications globally using .net and MS SQL Server

  • Collect and design HMI screens to report key metrics on the company’s MES system

  • Work with cross functional teams on projects and be involved in the of design shop floor applications
