Project Manager: Water and Wastewater Projects

The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience in the management and delivery of design & build water and wastewater infrastructure projects.Typically the delivery of such projects will include the management of civil engineering sub-contractors involved in the design and construction of civil engineering structures, buildings and interconnecting infrastructure and the management of MEICA subcontractors involved in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of MEICA plant and equipment.

The Project Manager will have experience and knowledge of the following:Water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies, Sludge treatment processes , management and delivery of projects with a capital value in excess of €1m, management of a project delivery team including both office based and site based staff and the preparation of project budgets and cost forecasts as well as the compilation of monthly financial & progress reports

Required skills for the successful Project Manager:  

  • Potential candidates MUST be fluent in English, and qualified with an Engineering degree, with significant relevant water/wastewater content, ideally be a Chartered Engineer, with experience and knowledge of the following

  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant design, construction and commissioning, with particular emphasis on the supply and installation of MEICA plant & equipment

  • Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (e.g. FIDIC Gold book)
  • Minimum 5 years in a Project Management role
  • Ability to liaise with clients/statutory consultants/non-statutory consultees
  • Competency in negotiating commercial terms & conditions with clients and sub-contractors
  • Ability to work within and lead a multi-disciplined project delivery team
  • Competency in the use of IT software packages, specifically MS Office, MS Project and Primavera
  • Ability to deliver work activities against specific timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skill
