My Client invites applications from persons with relevant experience, preferably in the water, wastewater or related process industries.

The main duties and responsibilities will be to provide project engineering management, tendering and technical input to the design and operational costing of water and wastewater schemes. This will include working with multi-disciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/ICA engineers/ contractors.

 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage project activities within the project team ensuring various project objectives and deliverables are met
  • Monitor activity progress for the project in line with the project objectives, deliverables and timelines and report potential delays including mitigation recommendations
  • Manage the project risk log ensuring all identified risks have been mitigated
  • Conduct project reviews with the project team and site management on a regular basis
  • Provide support for product costing and financial assessment of the project
  • Prepare or oversee tenders for equipment and undertake tender appraisal
  • Monitor project expenses in line with the approved project budget
  • Provide support for preparation of monthly Managerial reports
  • Ensure smooth transfer of project knowledge and technology from engineering to construction/ installation
  • Oversee the construction/ installation activities
  • Management of other sub-contractors or suppliers
  • Ensures all activities, equipment and facilities comply with site Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience in the water/ wastewater sector
  • Hold a relevant BEng (Hons) or MEng degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline
  • Experience of sub-contractor and supplier management
  • Experience of producing feasibility, outline and detailed design of various MEICA plant/systems, experience of procurement of such equipment
  • Experience of working with third party designers
  • Strong IT skills
