Process Development / Project Engineer
I am working with a medical devices / medical technology company on a new hire to join their exisiting team. This position will be based in the R&D/Engineering/ manufacturing facility in the midlands.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and part of a project team, you will work across all functions /stakeholdres to ensure timely co-ordination of key projects relation to NPI are managed/tracked using standard PM tools.
Some key roles:
Working with the project manager on the development & provision of standardized management systems, processes and templates for project development, tracking, execution, control & reporting.
Responsible to ensure all business units are using/ultilsing standardized Project Management approach with tools and templates.
As project engineer ensure stakeholders are delivering a project’s objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Project co-ordination from kickoff/ successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
Project campion — Team will Lead and champion the use of project management practices and systems throughout the business.
Imparting a sense of urgency and importance to project teams and stakeholders in supporting the delivery of projects goals.
Ensuring standardized project management systems with tools and templates are consistently utlised for projects.
At team member on the Project management team to ensure you are an active memeber on this team to Lead and champion the use of project management practices throughout the business.
Responsible for project co-ordinataion and liase with various stakeholders to drive project to deadlines – identification and resolutions of issues impacting project goals.
Assist with the development of project plans, tools, teams, execution and close out of projects.
Act as part of a team that is overall responsible for the several multi-site, global product launch projects on time and within budget.
Past Experience and Capabilities
4 years project management experience preferably in the highly regulated Medtech sector.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred but not essential.
Proven experience in delivering multiple projects from initiation to successful closure
Strong interpersonal skills / ability, excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal & written.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Engineering related discipline.
Experience in Medtech product launches from initiation to commercial release.
Experience in Medtech Soft Ware development and product launch advantageous.
