Manufacturing Engineer – Sligo


Our client, a medical device manufacturer in Sligo, requires a Manufacturing Engineer / Process Mechanical Engineer preferably with 3-5 years related experience and a third-level engineering qualification to join their engineering team.



The candidate must have worked in a metrics, performance driven, team environment and ideally have a good knowledge of plant equipment, door-to-door flow, layout improvement, method study, lean methods, line balancing and world-class manufacturing techniques. Most important is the ability to inspire and motivate others to continually improve and achieve organizational excellence.



  • NPI/NPD and transition to production on time and within budget.

  • Development of equipment and new processes including optimisation of production methods, product flow, layout and machine changeover.

  • Initiating and implementing Lean manufacturing projects and cost saving initiatives

  • Process Validation activities.

  • Highly effective communication directed at improvement.


Preferred Experience:

  • Primary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • 5 years previous Process / Manufacturing Engineering Experience
