The company specializes in industrial grade design, construction, installation, fabrication, maintenance and repair projects. This is permanent position for someone who is adaptable, flexible, ambitious and willing to put in the effort.   • Design of process and utilities –
  • Preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, Hydraulic Calculations, Process Equipment Sizing Calculations
  • Co-ordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers
  • Ownership of equipment modules and packages through design and procurement phases
  • Completion of Design Risk Assessments
  • Participation in Technical and Safety reviews
  • Interfacing with client design team/end users
  • Process optimisation/site support
  • Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule
  • Co-ordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (Engineers with a primary degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant process experience may also be considered)
  • Self starter, experience in leading a design team and in coordinating the efforts of others
  • Specialist experience in a key technical area e.g. water & wastewater treatment,
  • Good communication skills (ability to lead Technical and Safety reviews)
  • Chartered status desirable
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with the Employer Requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and documentation.
  • Reporting progress of projects at regular intervals to the Engineering Manager.
  • Experience in the Wastewater and Water Treatment Sectors is an advantage
  • Any other duties relevant to the role.



  • Effective leadership and communication skills with engineering and project management staff
  • This is a dynamic role and the person needs to be energetic with enough experience to be respected by all members of the project teams (essential)
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects (essential)
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects (essential);
  • The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems (essential).
