Excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Systems Analyst to work in a leading global provider of consumer and retail market research solutions. Ideal candidate will have 7yrs plus in network infrastructure administration and architecture experience.This is a permament position and is based in Co.Westmeath.

Network Senior Systems Analyst 

In this Senior Network Systems Analyst role you will formulate and define the system scope and objectives, based on enterprise infrastructure needs. You will devises or modify procedures to solve complex problems, prepare detailed specifications, analyse and revise existing system logic problems and documentation as necessary. You will have full technical knowledge of all phases of system analysis. You will also be responsible for client communication and satisfaction, providing ongoing technical and troubleshooting support for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring quality through reviews, and act as project leader for designated projects as appropriate.   

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively manage and participate in projects or tasks (upgrades, migrations, maintenance, research and development, and proof of concepts for new technologies)to completion with minimal supervision
  • Proactively monitor, alert and report any potential issues and conduct operational functions when necessary
  • Conduct system patching and routine updates to keep environment current with industry norms and best practices and ensure minimal security related vulnerabilities
  • Provide support for the overall health and operability of the corporate environment
  • Act as technical lead and provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers 


  • Minimum of 8 years in network infrastructure administration and architecture experience
  • Strong written and oral communication, organisational, time and project management skills
  • Interface with business partners
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge of network technologies including DMVPN, BGP, VxLAN / Tunneling technologies coupled with strong DC networking technologies, VPN Site-to-Site technologies and Software Defined Networking Technologies- Arista/ Cisco ACI
  • In-depth knowledge of IP Telephony technologies – Cisco and Avaya Call Processing
  • Experience working with various network management platforms – Solar Winds, Cisco Prime coupled with point management systems
  • Experience with diverse security platforms enabling IPS/ FW and deep inspections technologies- Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Any Connect Remote Access VPN
  • Experience with enterprise video technologies – Spark, LifeSize and Unified video technologies
  • Must be willing to travel domestic and international as needed (10%)
