Our client, a leading glass manufacturer, is seeking a Management & Treasury Accountant.

Management & Treasury Accountant

Excellent opportunity for a Qualified Management & Treasury Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will also be expected to work closely with the other members of the wider finance team to deliver the overall objectives of the Company. Duties will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management packs, re-forecasts, annual budgets
  • Liaise with external auditors for half year and full year statutory audit
  • Production and development of reports to support the decision making process

In addition to the above, the role will involve ownership of the following areas in the finance function:


  • Responsibility for the Treasury Reporting function for cash management to ensure the company’s liquidity is pro-actively managed 
  • Oversee the preparation of management reports from a treasury perspective
  • Build relationships with external banking providers, and Group Treasury functions
  • Pro-actively participate in internal development programmes to implement cash management systems 

Fixed Asset Management

  • Maintain the fixed asset register ensuring all assets are accounted for and that depreciation is correctly applied
  • Pro-active maintenance of the company’s fixed asset register to ensure obsolescence and disposals are appropriately captured
  • Assess if capitalisation forms submitted for entry have appropriate asset classes and useful lives
  • Reviewing business cases for major capital expenditure opportunities

Candidate Requirements:

  • A recognised Professional qualification with an Accountancy body
  • Strong management accounts, budgeting and forecasting knowledge
  • Excellent I.T knowledge and skills, with experience in SAP and BI reporting a distinct advantage
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands on role
  • Excellent planning, communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • The ability to work without management direction, use initiative and possessing a positive attitude towards team work is critical
    • Experience in cash management and treasury analysis.
