CICS Systems Programmer – Donegal

Our client based in Donegal require a CICS System Programmer for their expanding business.


This person will work with other zSeries CICS Systems Programmers to manage and maintain the CICS environment and related products. This position includes on call responsibilities by participating in the on-call schedule and occasional off-hours/weekend work.

Essential Criteria:

At minimum 5 years’ experience working with following functions:

  • IBM CICS Transaction Server Support – Systems Programmer
  • Third Party Vendor Product Support
  • IBM z/OS Operating System
  • 2 and JCL
  • Working with vendors to open issues and provide documentation

  Desirable Criteria/Assets:

 Knowledge of CICS Plex Systems Manager (CPSM)

Experience with:

  • JCL
  • System dump analysis
  • Unix System Services
  • Scripting Languages like REXX, CLIST or SAS.
  • RACF security
  • COBOL, Assembler or other programming languages
  • Java development
  • JVM Administration
  • IBM Operational Decision Management
