This event was themed around the “role of coaching in getting HR to the top table’’ and the seminar highlighted key areas to improve performance and harness the potential of people in organisations at the individual, team and organizational development levels.
The event was an overwhelming success and over 120 attendees listening to an excellent panel of speakers and then partaking in a Coaching Seminar/Workshop session.
The keynote speaker for this event was Peter Bluckert, a renowned published Coach & Leadership Expert, with a career spanning over 25 years. Peter spoke to the core of his work – intentional, transformational change and outlined how this is achieved by helping people fulfil their potential and by assisting teams to come together powerfully forming a connection that energises, motivates and supports everyone to achieve great things together.
Other guest contributors included Michael Loughnane, Manager, Organisation Development in ESB and Colin Curran, HR Director EMEA Operations, Teleflex who gave invaluable insights and presented on the application of coaching models, frameworks and interventions applicable in their respective workplaces.
The attendees broke out into workshop groups which were facilitated by HR directors/managers from various businesses in Ireland and they discussed coaching interventions within their organisations in terms of a) current challenges b) ideal/future state map and c) supports required within the organisation to achieve success. All groups presented on their findings in a feedback session at the end of the seminar, which was facilitated by Peter Bluckert.
This was an excellent event whereby HR directors, managers, practitioners, academics and students interacted together while taking away some key learnings from the seminar.
